Seaside
| Population - 33,300 Seaside is just north of Monterey. Also adjoining it is the small community of Sand City. Most businesses in town are small family owned establishments. Schools - Seaside is part of the Monterey School District and has it's own High School. California State University of Monterey Bay is located in Seaside. |
Housing - Rentals and house prices are slightly less expensive than the rest of the Peninsula. There is a new subdivision of larger homes known as Seaside Highlands. Shopping - There is a new small shopping center in the North end of town with a World Market, Vitamin Shoppe and other stores. In Sand City (so close by you never know you left Seaside) there are a couple of large shopping centers with Costco, Office Depot, Target, Albertson's, Borders, Circuit City and others. |
